Special Moments

Your Hands

by JJ Heller

I have unanswered prayers
I have trouble I wish wasn't there
And I have asked a thousand ways
That you would take my pain away
That You would take my pain away

I am trying to understand
How to walk this weary land
Make straight the paths that crookedly lie
Oh Lord, before these feet of mine
Oh Lord, before these feet of mine

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave Your hands

When You walked upon the Earth
You healed the broken, lost, and hurt
I know You hate to see me cry
One day You will set all things right
Yeah, one day you will set all things right

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave Your hands

Your hands
Your hands that shape the world
Are holding me, they hold me still
Your hands that shape the world
Are holding me, they hold me still

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
when my heart is breaking
I never leave You when....

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave....
I never leave Your hands

Last week Victoria and I were on our way home from somewhere and this song started to play. I was singing to it and she started to try to sing it also. The song ended as we pulled into our garage. She climbed up in the front seat and was still humming the song. I asked her if she knew what "I never leave Your hands" meant. She said, "Of course, Mommy, it means that Jesus will always protect us!" What a sweetie!

In the evening we normally have the radio playing in the background. Last night as we were cleaning up dinner this song came on again. She looked at me with wide eyes and started singing it with me. When the song was done playing she said, "You know what, Mommy? That can be our song"

I am so thankful for Christian radio stations! For the most part I enjoy the music and the talking. The new radio station in our area has been a huge blessing to me and and I so thankful for the opportunities it gives me to talk to my children about the love of Jesus Christ.

I think she sounds like Sarah Mcclaighlin. ( I know I butchered her name. )
