Our Life

Valentines Day was a little crazy in our house this year between parties, candy, cards and fires. :) Kevin has training every Monday evening with the department, but it was cancelled on Valentines Day!! (Thank you, Greg!) I was so excited, and to make it even better, I was getting off work early to attend Logan's school party...so that meant I would be home by 3 and have plenty of time to fix a special dinner.

Monday morning I got up like any other morning to start my day...when I got out of the shower Kevin was already gone which I thought was strange. A few minutes later I heard him coming back home so headed out to the kitchen to see what was up....there on my kitchen table were some beautiful flowers!! He had made arrangements to have them delivered to my work, but when he realized that I was leaving early because of Logan's party he went and picked them up(thank you, Shirley!!!) bright and early so I could enjoy them before even leaving for work! I love that man!!!!

Thank goodness we were able to spend the afternoon together as a family because that evening as he sat down to dinner he got a fire call, then another fire call and then a third call. He ended up coming home around 2 AM and sleeping on the couch. :( It wasn't a typical valentines day for us, but then again do ever do anything typical in our house!?!?!
