Prayer Month...

This month at our church it is all about prayer. I remember being taught in school and in just my everyday life to pray specifically. This past Sunday I decided to do just that this month for 2 specific areas in my life and in our families lives. I gave the Lord complete control in these areas and let me tell you I feel so much better.

Many of our family and friends have had their hours cut or even their jobs cut due to the economy and the recession. Our business is beginning to slow down but we are praying that it is only because of the cold weather and that soon, Lord willing, we will begin to hear our phone ring again!! God is in control of it all. We are trusting Him and this is one of the areas that I gave over to Him. I can sit and worry about the lack of work Kevin has or I can sit and pray faithfully for work to come in...the decision is not a hard one.

Every year Kevin receives a check from the local hardware store...our business receives a percentage back of what we spend. In the past we have put it back into the business...well this year Kevin decided to put it in our house!! I was so excited because I was able to get new counter tops and a new sink for NOTHING!!! It did not cost us 1 penny! We were also given a new dishwasher last year that we kept till we were ready to put new counter tops in....so I know have a DISHWASHER!!! I am so fortunate to have a hubby that knows how to do all he does! I love the little makeover our kitchen got!!!
