- Victoria got glasses!! She looks so cute, but at the same time SO grown up. I can't believe how well she read for me tonight. It was amazing to see her face relax when they put the glasses on her. She could see!!
- We are traveling out to PA! I can hardly wait to see my family. It has been since October since we have been out to PA. I just have to make it past April 15th (tax day) and then I will be able to have somewhat of a life again. I will say that I am looking forward to getting away.
- It is warming up here in our area. The kids have enjoyed it. They have spent the last few evenings outside playing. They love the warmer weather....and so does mommy and dadddy.
- Kevin has been here at home doing things around the house during they...I am so thankful for that!! He has done all the laundry, cooking and much of the picking up for me lately.
Last night I was able to make it home for dinner (first time in over a week and a half) so Kevin and Logan made a special dinner for us all! Shrimp scampi. I loved it. It isn't the best picture but I took it with my phone. So I just want to share a little story. Last night when Kevin and I headed to bed I just couldn't fall asleep. I was worried. There I have admitted it. I was worried about our business and the slowness of it. It isn't easy and I know that we are not the only ones that are not working right now....but it still scares me! I lay in bed and tossed and turned for a VERY long time. Finally God got a hold of my heart and reminded me of this passage:
Delight yourself in the Lord
and he will give you the desires
of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:
Be still before the Lord and wait
patiently for him;
do not fret when men succeed
in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked
schemes
I kept repeating that last verse....be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him. WAIT on HIM, Heather! So today I had to rely on the Lord for His strength! I struggled at work. I couldn't concentrate. On my way home I just prayed that the Lord would help me through the evening. I hadn't even been in the door for 5 minuets and Kevin told me some GOOD news....he got a call for some work...and a job he had lined up a while ago and then seemed like it would never happen...they too were ready for him to come over and start the work. TWO leads in ONE day!! I try not to get to anxious about calls and estimates till the customer has signed on the bottom line...but tonight I feel better....and will continually pray that the Lord provides for us!!

Wow, sounds like you guys have been busy! It must be rough to be so busy at work but what a blessing to have the extra income for your family! Busyness=job security, eh? You'll have to post pictures soon of Victoria in her glasses - she's growing up so fast!
Forgot to comment about God's faithful provision - we're getting nervous too as the job markets are getting tighter and tighter in education. God keeps reminding us of how He has provided for us in the past and He won't ever abandon us! It helps to look back at our prayer journal to see exactly how God has answered our prayers and how He's provided in specific and unexpected ways!
Yeah on the work. I worry too, and my business is much smaller than Kevin's, but we rely on the income for our family. I have been praying that you will get the work you need. Hope to see you soon when we start our upcoming "search"

i am not really a worrier as you probably know, but recently I had been struggling with it and the Lord is so good isn't He to remind of us HIs goodness and faithfulness to us!!
