I was able to snap 2 pictures of the kids Easter afternoon. We were running a little late Easter morning so no luck...only 2 pictures because they were both exhausted and right after this picture poor Victoria had a MAJOR meltdown!! I felt so bad for her because she was way to tired and we were only at home for about an hour till we had to leave again for evening church...sooooo no nap!! Oh well, we still had a wonderful Easter even if we do not have the best pictures.

I mentioned in my last post that we were having a bridal shower for a very good friend of ours. Melissa was one of the first people I met at our old church when we first moved to Illinois. She is very special to our family and our kids love her so much. She is our babysitter whenever we need her and she does so much for our kids. Her and her fiance have a wonderful testimony of how the Lord has led them together and how together they have gone through many trials and continue to keep the Lord centered in their lives.
Jared and Melissa, we love you both and can hardly wait for the wedding!!! I pray that it will be a beautiful day for you both!!

Do you mind a story...sorry it isn't a funny story and I am not as good as telling stories as Christina is..but I just wanted to praise the Lord for his provision. When we moved to Illinois we rented an apartment for 1 year. Towards the end of our lease we began to pray about where the Lord would want us to move too. Our old Pastor mentioned to us to pray specifically. I felt a little weird praying like that...asking the Lord for "extras"...but I started to pray.
I prayed for these 5 extras...a master bath, a playroom/family room, a spare bedroom, a garage and close to the church we were attending. About 2 weeks later we were told about a house that was up for rent. We went to look at it...it had 4 bedrooms (a spare), 3 bathrooms (one a master bath), living room, kitchen, family/play room, a garage and only 10 miles from church.
As we walked around the house I looked at my husband and said I wasn't interested in it. Can you believe it??? It had all the things I was praying for. One thing that it had that I wasn't praying for was ANIMAL SMELL!!! The people that rented it before us had animals that they never bothered to take out!! I remember Kevin looking at me and telling me that this is the house the Lord was providing for us and we would work on the animal smell.
Well we moved in 2.5 years ago. A couple of months ago we went to pay our rent and our landlords let us know that the owners of the house (it is owned by a church) were ready to sell the house. We had talked to them in the past and they knew we were interested in buying the house and let us do little things around the house as we wanted too. We just haven't done BIG projects to the house. It is a 30 year old house and still has the original kitchen and bath so they need a bit of help. We have done cosmetic changes such as floors and paint but no major changes. Well lately the kitchen has been bugging me, but Kevin kept reminding me that we would remodel it a year or so after we bought it. One day he came home from work and told me he had a "surprise" for me. I wasn't sure what he had, but I was willing to listen.
He was remodeling a kitchen and the homeowner wanted all new matching appliances. They had a 1 year old fridge and dishwasher. The customer said that Kevin could have them!! WOW!!! I was so excited!! I got a brand new fridge and will soon get a dishwasher after washing dishes for the past 2.5 years!! I can't wait!!! I am so thankful now for the wonderful house the Lord has provided us with. He knew what we wanted and what we needed! God is so good and I am excited with my new fridge. My old one was...i don't even know how old...the shelves were bent and leaning towards the one side. It was very small and many times I had to have things in the fridge out in the garage.

Isn't it amazing when God provides unexpected things??
Wow! It's amazing how Victoria and Logan have grown! They are beautiful and seem to be great kids and a true testimony to you and Kevin as parents! Congrats on the new appliances! I love the fridge! It's wonderful when God blesses us with surprises!
