Here is what Ami had to say in her last update...
Hi! I have GOOD news! I am so excited to finally say that! Ethan's heart is improving!!! They were able to take him off ECMO for 2 hours this afternoon. They did put him back on around 4pm so that they wouldn't overwork his heart, and they will try again to take him off for a while tomorrow. God is so GOOD!!!!!! Ethan is still very, very sick, though. So, please still keep him in your prayers that his heart will grow stronger. The doctors aren't sure at this point if his heart can truly support his body at this point for a long period of time. They were quick to caution that he could still need a heart transplant. However, God has brought Ethan this far and Dave and I are so thankful. The doctors were very surprised today, in fact a couple came down from other floors because they said that they had to see it for them self. God's work is so amazing that it even confounds the wise, right? Like I asked before, please continue to pray for our little Ethan. I truly believe that the prayers of many availeth much!! Our God is so Great!!! Love, Ami

We will be praying for this little guy and his family. I can't imagine the helplessness they must feel. It must be a daily act to give it over to God and seek to rest in Him. Thank you for letting us know.
I'll keep praying too. I forgot to tell you, Heather that I shared Ethan as a prayer request in my Bible study too. YAY for God's healing miracles!
