This Spring/Summer, Kevin and I decided that we were not going to work on the outside of our home. We had to many things started that we wanted to complete inside our home before my family gets here in August! So we have been working like crazy to get things completed! Working between Kevin's crazy schedule, camping and the kids, ummmm...not as easy as we thought because we are so BUSY!!! I can't stand being that busy. So...we are trying to get as much done as possible...I get frustrated at how little we have been getting done, but if I had before pictures to what it looks like now...I would see how much we have gotten done over the last 10 months already!

Well, anyway, the reason for this post is......

Kevin has been working LIKE crazy, lately. Leaving at 6AM and not getting home till well after 8PM. I feel bad for him because most of the stuff in the house can't get done because he has to help me or do it himself. (Paint, lay floors, take doors off, put up new closet doors and on and on the list goes)

Well I am home this week with not much to do, so I thought I would just try to get some odds and ends done. :) HMMMMMM.....I have been itching to get my hands in the dirt. It has been two years since I have done landscaping. (we were living in an apartment) So today, I was sitting on our back deck, I really am embarrassed to say how UGLY it is out there from our previous owners. The back of the house is painted 2 DIFFERENT colors and the front of the house is BLUE and BROWN. What where they thinking?????

So I just did some minor landscaping with a couple of plants I picked up! I am so proud to say that I did it by myself and that Kevin was so impressed. I even used a LEVEL!!!

I wasn't able to take before pictures because Kevin had the camera for work, but this is what the other side of the air conditioner unit looks like....

And this is what the left side of the air conditioner unit looks like NOW!!!!! I am not completely finished. I want to go and get a couple more flowers , but I found these pavers UNDER all the old mulch! Not a bad find...I just need to find a few more for the other side of the air conditioner unit. :) Me and kids had a great time doing it and Logan now knows he LOVES worms. :) So what if the house is 2 different colors. At least there is some other color back there now. Maybe tomorrow I will be able to get the other side done. :) I will let you know.

Hey Heather! The landscaping looks great! Hang in there with the rest of the house. I know how frustrating it can be trying to get it done, but it will all come together soon and what a sense of accomplishment! Hope you enjoy your new job!
