School is back in session...

It is so hard to believe that the summer is over!!! I know we say that every year, but honestly doesn't it feel like it goes by faster and faster? Here in Illinois it wasn't that hot at all this summer...actually very cool and wet at the beginning and then towards the end of August it warmed up a bit...but nothing like it was last year...for days it was in the 90's or even the 100's. NOTHING like last summer!!!

So like I had said in a previous post, Victoria started at a new school and Logan started school for the very first time...I was a bit nervous. Honestly, I didn't know how Logan would take going to school each day. Well the first day came and as we were getting ready he mentioned that he would miss me that day. Oh boy...that tugged on my heart strings!!! I almost lost it right there. Daddy explained to him that school was important and if he wanted to work with daddy he needed to learn what they were going to teach him at school.

Well we headed to school and he pretty much didn't leave my side that morning. We got Victoria situated in her classroom and then headed back toward the k-4 classroom. All the kids were playing and I asked Victoria to show Logan where some of the toys were. He went and Kevin and I backed out of the way. We watched as each teacher gathered their class together in a line and off they all went. I was so proud of both the kids.

I was told that Victoria didn't stop smiling ALL day long! :) We do need to work on her talking though...I can't imagine where she gets that from. :) Logan was a big boy all day!! He did great this week. Not ONE single tear!! More than I can say for myself!! :)

Victoria all ready for her first day at school!!! First Grade!!!

Logan...on his way to K-4!!!

What more can I say about this picture...they are just so cute!!! :)

Getting ready to head to school!!!

Victoria in her 1st grade classroom with the famous Mrs. Griffin!!! The BEST first grade teacher ever!!!

These pictures aren't the best because I was sneaking the pictures through a window into his classroom...I love this picture. I think because it shows him being just a bit hesitant...but wanting to be so brave at the same time.

Getting all of his school supplies out!!

We were on our way out so I stopped by Victoria's classroom...
A couple of weeks ago we went to the most beautiful campground! We had a great time and the weather was so beautiful!!! There was so much for the kids to do and they were worn out by the time we left to come home!!!

Home Sweet Home!!!

All ready for a fire and s'mores that night!!! :)

They had a HUGE bouncing pillow for the kids to play on. Victoria loved it!! I would sit over there for as long as she wanted and she would just jump and jump on that thing!!!

Logan trying it out....he wasn't sure about it at first but once he got the hang of it he was fine!!

I have never seen anything like this before...so cool!!!

The pool had 2 slides...and of course Victoria didn't hesitate to go down them...she flew off of the slides!!!

There she goes!!! I was so happy for her...did you notice...no swimmers and going in at 5 foot!! She is such a fish!!!

Logan liked the shallow end. I didn't complain because he is at least in the water!!

Testing the waters....

Bike ride!! They loved these!! We drove them around the entire campground!!

Victoria on the hay ride

Logan just liked watching the tractor!!!

Wow, that campground looks AMAZING! Way to end the summer on a high note!

Victoria and Logan are both adorable. And she is looking so grown up with her hair cut short. Hope Logan continues to transition well into school! I'm sure the pep talk from his dad helped out a lot.

So, other babies walk at 8 1/2 months too? I'm afraid of that with Clive because he's already trying to take steps at 8 mos. YIKES! What are we in for?!?!

awesome pics heather. i think it's cool that the kids did a great job going back to school...

however, taking pictures of your kid through the school window...hmmm...you're lucky someone didn't spot you and have you arrested or something. ;)
