..........

I can't believe it!! School will be starting in 2 weeks!! Most of the schools around here are staring tomorrow. I am thankful that I still have 2 weeks to prepare yet.
After much prayer and decision making Kevin and I have decided that Victoria and Logan will attend a baptist school this year. Last year Victoria attended the public school for the district that we live in. Our town is about 3500 people but it is GROWING fast! She loved the school and did very well. I was raised in private schooling all my life, and I struggled with her being in a public school not having Bible class, learning Bible verses and the overall morals and values that Kevin and work hard at instilling in our children's lives.
I have total peace in my children attending a private and the Lord has brought it all together. A friend will be taking our kids everyday because it is not near where I work. I will be able to continue to leave work early 2 days a week to pick them up. Yes, the school is out of our way, but to me it is a small price to pay for our children to have a Christ-centered education. Not everyone understands our decision to put them in private schooling, and Kevin and I have heard a lot of people say we were nuts...what would you do in this situation? I have tried to use this opportunity to witness, but most believe that we are just being and teaching our kids to be snobby...by putting them in private schools.
Needless to say, Logan will be staring K-4 and Victoria will be in First Grade!! She is so excited!! Logan on the other hand reminds me of my sister Hillary when she was his age...he doesn't do well with separation. Whenever I am leaving him somewhere he cries and will tell me over and over again that he will miss me. This happened today when it was his time in church to leave to go to jr. church. He cried. I had Victoria take his hand and just keep walking. They said he did fine...i am just worried about the school mornings. i am sure at first he will be nervous, but once he understands that he will have so much fun and learn he will be fine!
We will see how it all goes in just 2 weeks!!! :)
