I am blessed!!!! (and getting a bit older!!!)

So are you in for a story?? I am not the best at telling my stories but I will try...

About 2.5 weeks ago I received an invitation in the mail. It was for our friends Tom and Mel. They would be celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary. I was kind of bumbed because it was the same weekend that we normally head out to the campground for the first camping weekend of the season and "celebrate" my birthday. Kevin just happened to be around that day when I opened the mail and he said that I was being a little brat about the whole thing. Honestly, I didn't mean it at all. I just had one thing in my mind and am not very good at changing direction at all. So as the weekend grew closer he suggested that we invite a couple friends out to the campground a couple of hours later so that we would still be able to make it to the anniversary party. GREAT THINKING!!! :) I was pleased with that and was once again excited to get out to the campground and relax!!!

For the past week I have been having some neck problems and haven't been able to sleep, turn my neck in either direction and the pain has been going down my right arm. On Saturday when I got up it was raining and I was in EXTREME pain!! I didn't want to do anything! Me and the kids ended up staying in the camper most of the day because of the wind and rain. I put the kids down for a little nap and headed to take one myself!! I just wanted to relax. Kevin came in and let me know that he was riding with his dad to the lawnmower place and I was fine with that...ahhh...peach and quite. I was out and me and the kids slept for 3 hours!!! Unbelievable!! I was a new person and when I woke, the sun was out so i figured since it was almost 5 pm I better getting a move on and make an appearance...the party would be starting soon and I didn't want to look to unkept...so i took a shower and threw on a t-shirt, sweater and my fat jeans (I have lost over 25 pounds and these are jeans that fit me before I started losing weight :))

I stopped by Kevin's Aunt and Uncle's camper to see if they were heading down to the party (it was walking distance) and they weren't quite ready so i thought I would hang out and wait for them. No biggie. We talked for about 30 minutes or so and then figured it was a good time (not to early but not to late) to head down to the pavilion that they were having the party at. We were coming up on the pavilion and I noticed Kevin's grandma was there. I thought to myself, well that is kind of strange. I said something and Kevin just mentioned that they invited her because they knew her from other camping trips. No big deal...dismissed that thought. Then the closer we got the more confused I was. It was ALL Kevin's family and no friends of Tom and Mell. UMMMM...then as I rounded the corner, I saw our good friends and a big sign that read...Happy 30th Heather!!! ...

I was shocked!! I never knew about it at all!! Kevin said that if it weren't for the rain that day he wouldn't have been able to pull it off!! :) (because I never stay in the camper all day!!) He had been working on this for almost 2 months!! Can you believe it?? He did everything (for the most part)!!! Oh and I wouldn't have worn my fat jeans either if I had known about it. I would have at least tried to dress up for the occasion. :)

Kevin, I totally love you and appreciate all the hard work you did for this party!! I know it wasn't easy with your schedule to find the time to get the food and make the phone calls to everyone!!! It means so much to me to have a hubby like you!!! I love you and am so happy and blessed to have you as MY husband!!!
**side note...guess what I got from him for my birthday...dancing lessons. I have wanted to learn how to ballroom dance for SO long now. He is actually pretty excited to take me to our private lessons over the next month!!! I can't wait!!!
