Weekend, Pneumonia and Cops...

What a week!!! I must say I am so thankful for weekends and time to just catch up on everything from cleaning your house to resting!!! God definitely knew what he was doing when He created Saturday and Sunday's!! :)

This week started out with Victoria continuing to be sick. She was sick and mommy was SO frustrated. She had a fever from last Thursday night till Tuesday. Sometimes her fevers were high and sometimes they would be at about 99.3...I only worried when they went over 100. They were unable to diagnosis her with anything. We had a strep test and flu test done, but everything came back negative. She went back to School on Thursday and I figured we would catch up on our rest this weekend.

This morning came and she seemed to really be dragging her feet getting ready for school. I didn't even bother to check her temp...stupid me!!!...by 10AM this morning I got a call from the school nurse. She had a temp of 104.2. I rushed back to the school feeling SO guilty that I had even sent her and never bothered to check if she had another temp. When I got to the school the poor thing was sound asleep in the nurses office. She was SO hot. This mama cried when I saw her. I just wanted to get her well again. We ended up going to a new immediate care office. They were SO nice!! They gave her Tylenol as soon as they realized how high her fever was....(she didn't keep that down to well.) They tested her for UTI and then did x-rays. The x-rays showed that my little 5 year old has pneumonia. I thought that was only for older people, but obviously not. I don't know if I could have prevented her from getting it, but up till that point the doctors before that said it was just viral and had to take its course. (have any of you been frustrated when you hear that??? I WAS!!!)

We are home right now and she is sound asleep!! Hopefully when she gets up the fever will be lower and she will not feel so sick. I don't think she has eaten an entire meal since last week!! That the Lord that the doctors office took the time to run some extra tests on her...it wouldn't have mattered if they weren't going to any way...I wasn't leaving until I had antibiotics for her!! :)

She has had a rough couple of months. At Christmas time she had double ear infections and strep throat. Before Valentines day she was put on a type of antibiotic that we found out later she was allergic to. Ended up spending 6 hours in the hospital that night....I hope that she is much better after this round of medication and able to go back to school.

When we were leaving the doctor's office, I went to turn left on the road to take us home. As I turned I realized (because of talking to Victoria) that I hadn't put my seat belt on nor had I put my turn signal on...STINK...there was a cop right there. He did a U turn quicker than I could blink. I knew I was in trouble. I haven't been stopped by the cops for YEARS!!! Since I was in high school. He came right up on my bumper and I was watching for the lights...praying that I wouldn't get stopped!! I don't know what happened but he stopped in the middle of the road and did another U turn and headed the opposite direction of me. PRAISE THE LORD!!!!

Well I better get going...since I am home I am going to use it to my benefit. I am having a bridal shower here at my house tomorrow for my very good friend Melissa! I can hardly wait...I will be sure to post pictures of the wonderful food we will be having...Have a great weekend!!!!

Oh, the poor sweetie!
I'm so glad the doctors finally found out what's wrong with Victoria. I'm praying right now that she snaps back to her old self very soon!
