Friends....

A very important aspect in my life are the friends that I surround myself with. I have been blessed since moving to Illinois with some very good friends. I am thankful for the bonds that have been created between us, and I am thankful for the times we share. Friends are those who you can be yourself in front of. They are there for you through the ups and downs. Talking...laughing...crying....you can be yourself in front of them. Whether sitting in a living room or at a kitchen table ;) for hours laughing, telling stories or asking opinions, it always helps me. Why you ask? Because I need the advice of other mommies. It is refreshing to know that many of us wives and mommies deal with the same aspects of life....from child rearing, to exhaustion, to finding more time in a day to run here, do laundry, make dinner, homework, bills, clean and whatever else we fill our days with. It doesn't give me an excuse but it encourages me to try harder or to deal with it differently!
I consider it a privilege to have such close friends!! So thank you all for what you have done for me and my family!!
On the same topic of friends...Kevin has had a few opportunities to get season tickets to the Ice Hogs from a friend of his. Well, yesterday he was once again able to get the tickets. Our kids were not off for MLK day but he decided to take Logan out of K-4 for the afternoon and have one of Logan's buddies and his daddy go with them. They had a blast!! Logan was so proud that they were each able to get a puck from a player on the ice!! He and daddy love spending time at sporting events. I must admit that I was a bit jealous while they were there and I was at work, but I was reminded...by a friend....that it is important for the boys to spend time together!! ;)

He looks so cute in this picture....I think he is growing up WAY to fast!!!

Nathan and his buddy!! These two are ALL boy!!! He loves going over to his buddies house because "he has play guns, mommy!!"

Aw! That was the sweetest post! Nathan had such a great time! He took his puck to school today and showed everyone. He has actually carried it around with him since he has gotten it!

I'm glad SOMEONE took pictures! And you are welcome at my kitchen table anytime!

Logan did the same thing with his puck! I am pretty sure he even slept with it. When I got home he was going to chuck it at me. Glad I stopped him in the middle of that! I would have looked like the one playing hockey!! :)

Love your kitchen table by the way!!! :)
