We are praying for you all...

Events take place in our lives and we question why. As humans we don't know why but as Christians we do know that the Lord is in control of our lives...

This past Friday evening Kevin, myself and our kids were at home when we received a phone call from our Assistant Pastor. He was out of town and needed the phone number to one of the local hospitals. Kevin asked if everything was ok. It was then that we found out there had been an accident. Our Assistant Pastors 4 children were staying at a friends house. Our friend, her husband, their 2 children and the assistant pastors 4 children were heading home from Chucke Cheese and were hit by a drunk driver.

Four of the children are fine. Three of them were actually in church today. One of them has a broken thumb and a few scratches but other than that they are doing ok.

Our Assistant Pastors son was unresponsive at the scene. He is currently in the PICU. He is not in a coma, but right now his brain is not allowing him to wake up. While we were visiting yesterday he would moan and groan and actually was very upset when the nurses were taking his blood. Please pray for him and his mom and dad! One can only imagine how they are getting through all of this. Pray that they have the strength they need over the next days and weeks to come. Pray that the Lord will provide all their needs and heal their little guy!!
My good friends little girl is as far as I know still in the hospital. Her pelvic bone is broken in two places. She was not herself while we visited her yesterday. She just lay and didn't talk at all. She is fighter and she is strong little girl. She will learn to walk with a walker today and may be sent home soon.

Below is my good friend and her hubby. I am so thankful for her friendship and all of the "talks" we have had in the past. She is always willing to help others and has such a servants heart. After the accident her husband was having a difficult time with his memory. I believe that he is still struggling with it. How she did what she did at the time of the accident and over the past 2 days is amazing to me. I am praying for you both. That the Lord continues to give you strength and peace during this difficult time!!
During times like these I am so thankful we serve and pray to a living God. He is in control and hears our prayers. We will all continue to pray for the families involved in the accident.
