When Kevin and I attended our previous church we were able to work with the youth group for about a year and a half. We made some great friendships...one of the teens we got to know really well was Kalee. After she graduated she too began attending Berean Baptist (the church we now attend). She is a wonderful person with a giving heart. For the past year she stayed back from college to work. About 3 months ago she made a huge decision and has decided to attend NBBC in the FALL!!! I know I am biased because that is where I graduated from, but I am so excited for her! Kevin and I enjoy her friendship and the way she loves our children.
Preparing for college and attending college can be SO overwhelming so we put our heads together and tried to figure out how we could be a blessing to her. She supports herself in many ways...so we decided to throw her a surprise party. She thought she was coming to our house to babysit for the evening, but instead there were 20 people...friends and family...waiting for her! I am pretty sure we got her good...she cracks me up...she was 20 minutes early...thankfully everyone was already there or sneaking in our back door!! :)

Kalee we love you and are so proud of you! The Lord will provide for your every need!!

FOOD!! You can't have a party without the food!! I love having people over...and making food!!!

And you can't have a party without friends...

...more friends...

and some more...I didn't get a picture of the guys on the other side of the deck. It was funny because we women are used to showers....but I invited spouses too...the guys didn't know quite what to do with themselves while we opened gifts!!

Thank you everyone who came!! I know Kalee appreciated all the gifts and she will be able to use EVERYTHING while attending college!!

Kalee is a great gal and I am so happy for her to be heading off to school (even if she is going too far north :) just kidding).
