I can't believe how long it has been since I have last posted. Time flies so fast. We have had a whirlwind the past two weeks of activity.
Two weeks ago this past Friday we took off for a FAST weekend to Pennsylvania. We haven't been out since March so Kevin thought it would be a fun trip so we could see my parents boat. The kids were so excited and couldn't wait to get out on the water.
On Sunday we headed out bright and early. I was getting more and more excited the closer we got to the the Chesapeake Bay. We stopped one time for some bait and I could tell by the smile on my Dad's face that he was so proud to have his grandson with him.
We spent the entire day on the boat and then on Monday we had a nice picnic with the my brothers and sister and their spouses and my parents. It was the first time in almost a year that we were all together. I really did enjoy it.
On Tuesday we headed back to Illinois, but the cool thing was that we had one extra passenger...my mom! She is off of work for the next 3 months because of 2 surgeries she is having. The kids were so surprised and excited.
We got to Illinois Tuesday evening and the next morning my mom was able to witness me getting two kids ready to got to school and to daycare before 7:15 in the morning. Some mornings are rough, but some are really fun! ;)
That evening when I got home from work I found my mom had cleaned pretty much my entire house and all of my laundry was DONE!! What more could a working mother ask for?? :)
We also noticed that Victoria had a fever and wasn't feeling so well. It didn't seem like she had anything else wrong with her, but nonetheless, she had to stay at home from school the next day. I was so happy that my mom was here and that she was able to spend some much needed bounding time with her granddaughter. Victoria was very well taken care of. On Thursday afternoon her fever broke, but she still had to be fever free for 24 hours before she went to school. So that meant that she had to stay one more day. :) I thought she could use more time with MomMom too.
Thanks Mom for the time that you spend with Victoria and nursing her back to health. It was the hot tea, toast and soup I am sure. :) I am pretty sure that I now need a full time housekeeper because you spoiled me. My mom did laundry EVERY day, washed my kitchen floor, scrubbed walls, handrails, windows and so much more. I can't thank her enough. ;)
Thanks Grandfather and MomMom for the fun boat ride and awesome time on the water...enjoy the pictures...

We are so happy that you were able to come visit. We can't wait to see you at Christmas and on our vacation. Vacation only seems a few months away. I told Heath I want to start shopping and packing already.
HOW FUN! One last summer fling, eh? Looks like the weather was perfect for your mini-family reunion. And what an extra special blessing to have your mom around for an extra week! Sigh. You're making me miss my mommy. :(
