Weekend Outing.....

Today, we went with our youth group to Gurnee Mills. Gurnee Mills is a relatively large mall. It is about a hour and a half away from our house. Well, anyway, we spent the day walking around with the youth leader and his family. His wife, Summer, and I have become very good friends! Our friendship has been a great blessing to me because she has taught me so much about family and about my relationship with God! They, Summer and Russ, have 2 children. Blaine is 8 and Victoria (they call her Tori) is 3. Our daughters are only about 2 weeks apart. They all have so much fun together.

I am not one that really likes to do much on Saturday. I usually like to sleep in, clean and just hang out at home so the kids can get good naps. Today, though, I wasn't able to do that. We were on the road by 8:30 and didn't get home till almost 6 this evening. Our kids were really cranky and in bed before 8. :) Good for me to get little things done before our day of services tomorrow.

I would give up a "lazy" Saturday anytime to do something with the teens. They are a great group of kids and we are really growing to love them!

I am so happy to have made such wonderful friends at our church in the last year and a half!
