Please Pray...

I know that many who read my blog are Christians and know the power of prayer. I am asking you to pray for a high school girl named Whitney. Her father is the pastor of a church in Shannon, Illinois. Whitney will be having open heart surgery at Mayo Clinic on Tuesday. At this point, I am unsure of the time, but will post that if I find out.

She had open heart surgery a year ago, but they found out last week that it was unsuccessful. So they are doing another surgery on her on Tuesday. I am unsure of all of the specifics, but I do know that there will be a donor valve.

Whitney Woods was recently at our church with her 3 sisters and parents. They put on a Christmas Concert for our Church. The entire family is so talented when it comes to music. She and her sisters play the violin, piano and cello. It was so awesome to hear it. Shortly after that our churches went on an all-nighter and all of the sisters where there. You would never have known that Whitney had any problems. She carries on with her life very well.

The family has asked that we pray for 6 specific things:
1. That the aortic valve will graph & work
2. That the donor valve will work with no leaks
3. That the team of Doctors and Nurses will have the strength and knowledge for the surgery.
4. That Whitney will have the peace that she needs and that she will heal quickly.
5. For the family, that they will have grace, peace and be kept calm.
6. For their safety as they travel while away from home.

Thank you in advance for your prayers. We all know first hand that power of prayer!!!
